YOU ARE LOOKING AT A RARE ANTIQUE CASH REGISTER DRAWER, WHICH DATES TO ABOUT THE LATE 1800'S-1910'S. IT COMES WITH: A FUNCTIONAL FINGER COMBINATION LOCK FOR THE DRAWER, A PENNY SLOT FOR EASY DEPOSIT, AND A BELL THAT IS TO 'DING' WHENEVER THE DRAWER IS OPENED.(THE BELL IS NOT FUNCTIONAL, BUT CAN BE FIXED)
IT IS OAK, AND MEASURES 20''W x 9.5''H x 20''DEEP. THE LABEL ON THE FRONT READS, "STANDARD CASH REGISTER, WABASH IND." THERE IS SOME MORE WRITING, BUT I CAN'T MAKE IT OUT. THERE IS SOMETHING STAMPED ON THE INSIDE OF LOCK, "5UP 11 Y&D"
IT IS IN OVERALL GOOD CONDITION. THERE ARE A FEW MINOR SRATCHES AND SCRAPES, THERE IS A VERY SLIGHT WARPING OF THE WOOD ON THE LID. THE CASH DRAWER STICKS OUT A LITTLE ON ONE SIDE, AND THERE IS SOME SLIGHT DISCOLORATION TWARDS THE REAR . IT ALSO APPEARS TO HAVE SOME SMALL HOLES NEAR THE DISCOLORATION, MAYBE ITS IS MISSING SOME HARDWARE.
IT HAS BEEN USED AS A JEWLERY BOX FOR THE LAST EIGHT YEARS, AND HAS BEEN WELL TAKEN CARE OF.
